Nike Okundaye, also known as Chief Nike, is a renowned Nigerian artist, celebrated for her exceptional contributions to the preservation of traditional African art forms, particularly textile design. Born in Ogidi, Kogi State, Nike’s passion for art began at a young age, influenced by her parents and grandparents who were artisans in the indigo-dyed fabric known as Adire. Today, she is the founder of Nike Art Gallery, one of the largest galleries in Africa, and she continues to empower women and youths through her art workshops and educational initiatives.
